Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains what information Easy App Mail Launcher (the “App”) and this website (together, the “Services”) handle, why, who receives it, and the choices you have. The Services are provided by App Development Lab (“we,” “us”).
Summary
- Your Gmail messages are downloaded straight from Google to your phone. They are not sent to our servers.
- We never see your Google password. You sign in on Google’s own screen.
- We use Google Firebase to measure how the App is used and to fix crashes, and Google AdMob to show ads.
- We do not sell your email, and Gmail data is never used for advertising.
The Services are for people aged 18 and over.
1. Your Gmail account
1.1 Signing in
You connect a Gmail account using Google’s sign-in. The App receives your Google account’s email address and asks Google for one permission, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify. The App does not ask for access to your Google contacts, calendar, Drive or any other Google service.
The App does not keep a copy of your password or of Google’s access tokens. Each time it needs to reach Gmail, it asks Google Play services on your phone for a short-lived token. To remember which accounts you’ve linked, it stores the account’s email address in the App’s private storage.
1.2 What the App does with Gmail
The App uses the Gmail API only to provide the email features you see:
- read your profile address, labels, and the messages and attachments in your inbox;
- send new messages, replies and forwards, and create, update, send and delete drafts;
- mark messages read or unread, archive them, change their labels, and move them to the Trash when you choose to.
The App does not permanently delete messages from your Gmail account. Messages you delete go to Gmail’s Trash.
1.3 What is stored on your phone
To make your inbox fast and readable offline, the App stores on your phone, in storage other apps cannot access:
- your linked account address, name and profile photo link;
- message details (sender, recipients, subject, preview, date, labels, attachment names), plus the full text of up to 200 recently opened messages;
- drafts you write, and addresses you have sent to (up to 500), so it can suggest recipients;
- attachments you open or add, in the App’s temporary storage.
When you sign out of an account, the App deletes that account and its message list. Opened message text, drafts, recipient suggestions and temporary attachment files can remain until you use Clear cache in the App’s mail settings or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes everything the App stored.
2. Permissions and on-device features
- Contacts (optional): if you allow it, the App reads email addresses, names and photo thumbnails from your phone’s contacts to suggest recipients as you type. Contacts are never uploaded.
- Photos and files: when you attach something, you pick it with Android’s photo picker or file picker. The App reads only the item you choose.
- Notification access (optional): if you turn on app badges, the App counts how many notifications each app has, to show the number on its icon. It does not read what notifications say. Counts stay on your phone.
- Notifications: if you allow them, the App shows new-mail alerts, and may also send occasional notices about the App, such as tips or updates.
- Installed apps: as a home screen, the App reads the list of apps installed on your phone to show them in the grid, dock, drawer and app search. It also notices when an app is installed, updated or removed. If you choose to uninstall an app from the home screen, Android asks you to confirm.
- Voice search: the App opens your phone’s own speech recognition service and receives only the resulting text. The App does not record audio.
- Country: the App reads your SIM, network or language country, without needing any permission, to pick regional news.
3. Information sent off your phone
3.1 Analytics, crash reports and performance (Google Firebase)
We use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring and Remote Config to understand how the App is used, keep it stable and adjust settings without an update. Firebase receives:
- Identifiers: your device’s Android ID for this App, and Firebase’s own app instance ID.
- Usage events: for example, opening the App, screens visited, buttons tapped, emails sent or failing to send, inbox category chips used, and ad impressions and their estimated revenue.
- Error details: if sending or replying fails, the error message is recorded. Some error messages include the email address of the account involved.
- Other apps you install, update or remove: when this happens, the App records the app’s name and package name.
- Device and app details: device model, Android version, App version, language, country, install source, whether Google Play services and a network are available, plus crash stack traces and network timing.
Firebase never receives the subject, body or sender of your emails, your contacts, or what you type in search.
We also use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications. It gives your phone a token that is stored on the device. We do not send that token, or your email address, to any server of ours.
3.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: banner, native, full-screen and app-open ads. Google may collect your advertising ID, IP address (used to estimate approximate location), device information and your interactions with ads, to show, measure and, where you allow it, personalise ads.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google’s consent message asks for your choice before ads are personalised. To change that choice later, contact us. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads. Gmail data is never used for ads.
3.3 News
To show headlines, the App requests stories from our news service, sending only the news category, page number, your language and your country. No identifier or account information is sent.
3.4 Web search
When you type in the home screen search box (3 or more characters, while online), the text is sent to your chosen search engine for suggestions. That is Google by default, or DuckDuckGo if you choose it; Yahoo search does not request suggestions. When you search, results open in your browser. Search engines handle your queries under their own privacy policies. A short history of your searches is kept on your phone.
3.5 Contacting us and the website
If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or ad scripts. Our host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security.
4. Limited use of Google user data
Easy App Mail’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Gmail data only to provide the email features described above. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. People do not read it, except with your permission for specific messages, for security reasons such as investigating abuse, or where the law requires. See our Gmail Disclosure.
5. Who receives information
- Google, as your email provider (Gmail API), and as our provider of analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, configuration, notifications and ads (Firebase and AdMob).
- Your chosen search engine, for search suggestions and results.
- Our news service, for headlines, as described in section 3.3.
- Authorities, if the law requires it, and a buyer or successor if our business changes hands. This policy would continue to apply.
Some US state laws treat letting an ad network collect advertising IDs as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. See Do Not Sell or Share. Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy, and how Google uses data from apps is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
6. Security and how long we keep data
All connections the App makes use encryption in transit (HTTPS or TLS). Data on your phone sits in the App’s private storage. It is not separately encrypted by the App, so keep a screen lock on your phone.
Data on your phone stays until you sign out, clear the cache or uninstall, as described in section 1.3. Firebase keeps analytics event data for the retention period set in our project (between 2 and 14 months) and crash reports for 90 days. We keep emails you send us for as long as needed to help you.
7. Your choices
- Turn off Contacts, Notifications or Notification access in Android Settings at any time. Only the related feature stops working.
- Sign out of a Gmail account in the App, and revoke the App’s access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Use Clear cache in mail settings, or uninstall the App to remove everything it stored.
- Delete or reset your advertising ID in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or limit its use, to withdraw consent, to opt out of targeted advertising or “sale/sharing,” and not to be treated differently for using these rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email appdevelopmentlab57@gmail.com with “Privacy Request” or “Data Deletion” in the subject. Analytics data is linked to your device’s Android ID rather than your name, so we may ask for details that help us find it. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer.
9. Children
The Services are not meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has used the App, contact us and we will delete what we can.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the App if the change is significant.
